I want to tell you about a time when I sucked at content creation!
4 years ago, I was constantly on this hamster wheel of throwing content spaghetti at the wall to see what would stick.
I was trying to create content, develop my website, and grow my email list, but lacked confidence and felt like I was batting heads with myself, being pulled in different directions, and felt torn about how to do the thing.
Nothing stuck and I was frustrated AF!
I knew I didn’t want to go back into the 9-5 workforce.
I knew I couldn’t go back to the 9-5 grind because it wasn’t me, it didn’t light me up, and I hated working for others.
I knew I HAD to make this work.
My family relied on me to make this work. A one income household NEEDED me to make this work.
Most importantly, I knew from the way I moved in the world, the way I broke stereotypes, the way I had so much to say, that the movement I was creating was BIGGER than anything I’ve ever done before.
So I set out to figure it all out on my own.
I joined 12 month programs, masterminds, mini minds, courses, followed all the content creation gurus advice,
Only to realise that NONE of it worked for me!
I was using their plug and play strategies that told me to post content 7 times a week or do XYZ to build out my email list content.
All of it rigid with no flexibility for me as a HUMAN.
All of it based around strategy to poke the algorithm awake or follow the trends to make me go viral.
All of it steering me away from leaning into what makes me ME!
I know that the most important thing for me and the way I move in the world, is to NOT be like them, to NOT mimic their strategy, to NOT be a robot churning content creator.
Now... I do me!
I couldn’t give a fuck about what anyone thinks or the advice they share. I’ll listen and take it with a pinch of salt.
I am in such alignment with myself, my badassery, my confidence, my voice, my message, my impact,
And I get to be true to who I am — the cussing, 420 friendly, straight forward, no BS, outgoing, vibrant, and bold AF entrepreneur that I am.
I get to dictate how I show up on my digital stage and I get to rock the fuck out of shining the spotlight on myself.
